In this story, as in canon, John is quite keen to get off, but Sherlock isn't having any of it and keeps making unpleasant or outright disturbing revelations about his dates. This culminates in a very frustrated John trying to explain, in terms that Sherlock can understand, just why he is so keen to have sex.
