It's beautifully written, and every emotional beat feels earned. It regularly had me on the edge of my seat, or choking up, living the emotions right along with the characters. The psychological depth and love for the characters are fantastic, and the many close calls before the final resolution are exquisite torture. I strongly suspect that this will become a new Christmas classic in fandom.
