Reccer's comments:For my last rec of May I'm choosing two stories that I found myself reading slowly, savoring the turn of phrase the author uses and appreciating the amazingly accurate portrait she paints of John and Sherlock.
The way they come together in the first one, bit by agonizing bit, with Sherlock sarcastic and scared and John unsure but willing to face even the uncomfortable things is deeply moving. In the second story we get to see the intimacy of their relationship. There are a lot of stories about how John & Sherlock get together, but rarely are they as beautiful as these two pieces.
