We see the progression of Sherlock's feelings about John as he restructures his Mind Palace, and we get to realize the impact of his deductions before he does. The theme of the Mind Palace ties everything together beautifully, particularly at the end, which is lovely.
Cellardoor's podfic is worth a rec all on its own. Her voice is just beautiful and does justice to the characters and the story. The podfic always makes me want to go back to the beginning and start again.
