Title: Well that’s certainly not cocaine
Artist: coeykuhn on Tumblr
Pairing: Sherlock Holmes/John Watson (or possibly Sherlock Holmes & John Watson, shippiness ambiguous)
Rating: M (drug use, hallucinations, slight horror)
Verse: Sherlock BBC

Author's summary: Oh my.
Well that’s certainly not cocaine, then wtf did you take sherlock.

Reccer's comments: This has haunted me since the first time I saw it years ago - Sherlock, pushed past his limits, reverting to old bad habits while horrible hallucinations of bugs and demons - and half-demonic Moriarty - hover around him, surrounded by tokens of self-doubt and failure. Can he even see or feel John, who is kneeling in front of him caring for him with a look of heartbreaking grief and concern? Note the symbolic chess pieces!

wtf did you take, sherlock

Title: The Pathologist
Artist: bubug on DeviantArt
Pairing: Gen, Molly Hooper
Rating: G
Verse: Sherlock BBC

Author's summary: "Sherlock" + Tim Burton. “I’ve seen much worse, but then I do post-mortems!”

Reccer's comments: Exactly what it says on the tin - adorable creepy morbid Molly in a Tim Burton pop-gothic cartoon style, with her brain friend Helen-Louise in a pan in her hands, and lots of adorably sinister tools in her lab coat pocket. I love Molly, I love her corny gallows humor, and this portrait really does her justice. Please do be sure to look at this as large as you can get it, the attention to detail is incredible. The artist also has portraits of Irene Adler and Jim Moriarty in this style.

Title: Moriar Tea
Artist: kimberly80 at DeviantArt
Pairing: Sherlock Holmes/Jim Moriarty
Rating: T (SFW image but strong language)
Verse: Sherlock BBC

Reccer's comments: Gloriously clever and oh-so-pretty play on a coffee-shop or tea-house's chalk sign: beautiful fluidity of lines, incorporation of text, gorgeous rendition of manipulation and longing. Make sure to look at it large. You won't be able to take your eyes off it for quite a while, i'll bet.

Title: The East Wind
Artist: anekoartsins on Tumblr
Pairing: Gen, Eurus Holmes
Rating: G
Verse: Sherlock BBC

Reccer's comments: Stunning fairy-tale-style image of Eurus Holmes - with violin, blackbird, stormy sky and sea and wild hair. She’s posed with grace and beauty and yet distorted, full of infinite sorrow, removed from the world and lost in herself. I get the sense when she touches her bow to the strings, something magical and terrible will happen.

Title: Rosie is Playing with Mrs Hudson Now (or is that the summary?)
Artist: sh2jw on Tumblr
Pairing: Sherlock Holmes/John Watson
Rating: E/NC-17/Explicit
Verse: Sherlock BBC

Reccer's comments: Neither Mrs Hudson nor Rosie are in this picture, we're only reassured that the baby is with a competent sitter. :) Surrounded by toys and diapers and the trappings of parenthood that have transformed 221B, Sherlock and John take a probably rare - and therefore extra urgent - bout of personal quality time with each other: still mostly clothed, on the chair, desperate. It’s super hot and intense, and given so much warmth and depth by the detailed surroundings.

Title: untitled
Artist:: amysherrierart on Tumblr
Pairing: Sherlock Holmes/John Watson
Rating: T? SFW but steamy
Verse: Granada

Author's summary: I’ve been re-watching “The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes” (aka the Granada Series) and I just have to draw these beautiful boys. <3

Reccer's comments: A kiss is just a kiss? This one is not. This one is absolutely searing. Just a wild kiss up against a wall, with beautiful position and coloring. There is a beautiful sense of desire unleashed and restraint breaking.

And that's the last of my recs for June! Thanks to everyone for your patience. This spring has been a very trying time for me, but I did manage to rally at the end. I hope you enjoy all these artists' beautiful works, and make sure to let them know too.
