Title: Full English
Author: kay_cricketed
Pairing: Gen
Length: 1,396
Rating: G
Warnings: Major character death
Verse: Sherlock BBC
Author's summary: [Post!Reichenbach Falls] A study of grief as displayed by the variety of jams in the cupboard. John regrets his habit of saving the best for last.

Reccer's comments: John sublimates his pain into meals described with such mouth-watering, pleasureful detail that the lingering taint of grief in every buttery crumb comes as a surprise to me each time I read. Word choices subtly reveal the underlying darkness. This fic is a sorrowful sensual joy, a bit of time out of time.

Title: Measuring Damage with the Fujita Scale
Author: teahigh
Pairing: John/Sherlock
Length: 3548
Rating: Teen
Warnings: none
Verse: BBC
Author's summary: John goes back into town, into the storm, and Sherlock realises he forgot to say, “I just want to be alone with you.”

Reccer's comments: This fic, appropriately enough, builds like a gathering storm; you can practically feel the static electricity humming in the air.  It's a gorgeous slow burn, and the tornadic metaphor is beautifully integrated into the changes in Sherlock and John's relationship.  It's lovely and memorable writing.

Title: Set in Stone
Author: prettybirdy979
Pairing: Sherlock/John
Length: 19281 words
Rating: Teen
Warnings: None
Verse: Sherlock BBC
Author's summary: They say our dreams are our mind's attempt to make sense of our days. John's dreams seem to be making sense of things that haven't ever happened.

Until those things start to happen anyway.

Reccer's comments: Psychic!John for the win! Full disclosure up front: I was one of the betas for this story. It's an alternate universe bordering on magical realism where John has dreams - nightmares, really - that keep coming true. The only saving grace about them is that John is able to change the outcome, if he recognises what's happening in time. He lives with the fear that the day will come when he will fail to stop what he keeps seeing in his dreams - the death of his best friend and partner, Sherlock Holmes.

Even as a beta I wasn't privy to the ending, so as I read each chapter the suspense just kept building and the uncertainty of the outcome kept me on the edge of my seat. Enjoy!

Here's a bit of an excerpt. Keep in mind that this part takes place in John's dream, not in reality - at least, not yet ;)
