Title: Barter System
Author: Anonymous
Pairing: Sherlock/John
Length: posted in 11 parts at [livejournal.com profile] sherlockbbc_fic
Rating: R/NC-17
Warnings: None
Verse: Sherlock BBC

Author's summary: None given; written for the prompt: I'd love something about Sherlock&John's clothing barter system in this verse.

Reccer's comments: This is one of those fics I re-read frequently because it's just so enjoyable to read. The things they stipulate as off-limits (Sherlock's coat, John's army things) give a nice extra twist to what would otherwise be almost entirely gratuitous fluff (not that I would ever complain about that!) Perfect thing to read to put you in a good mood.

Title: Everyone Loves a Scandal
Author: [livejournal.com profile] metisket
Pairing: Irene Adler-Norton x Godfrey Norton (Gen for most part, otherwise)
Length: 5751
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: None
Verse: Sherlock BBC
Author's summary: ... Sheeee doesn't really have one, so have her beginning notes! "IF I WERE WRITING the modern update of A Scandal in Bohemia, it would go like this. Clearly, the BBC version is not going to be like this at all, at all, and in a minute it will be badly jossed (moffated?). But hey, the trailers look AMAZING. *_* So Irene Adler is canonically a New Jersey con artist, a fact which has gotten more hilarious with each year that’s passed since Conan Doyle first wrote it, and that begs to be taken advantage of."

Reccer's comments:

Okay, so there are three things you need to know about me:

1) I love the hell outta Irene Adler
2) I ship her and her husband SO HARD in canon
3) I always approve of more long-suffering characters

So basically this fic mashed my "DO WANT" button unrelentingly by providing the modern update of a sassy and very much American Irene Adler who revels in being a con artist and is making out off-screen with her husband (who has no idea what he's gotten himself into but still loves her). Yeah, Sherlock and John are in this too (and I do so adore them), but they're going to have to step off to the star that is Irene Adler. Add in her narrating some of the story, fairly bouncing with glee over her own cleverness, and I couldn't memory this fic fast enough.

PS The only spoilers you'll find in this fic are already in the original story and/or are inadvertent since the episode hasn't even come out yet for us common people. Why isn't 2012 here yet?!
