Reccer's comments:  Mycroft and Sherlock have a difficult relationship. The elder brother who worries constantly, the younger who resents the concern, and a Mummy who mustn't be upset. This story looks back to their very beginning, and a promise that became an ingrained character trait.
I'm torn as to how to classify this regarding genre. I'm tagging it as angst, although that's not entirely accurate, as it is also a story of healing. Or at least the beginning of hope.

It is heartbreaking and beautiful, and definitely makes my must-read list.
